The TECO FHM is the first single piece hanger that ticks all the boxes. This unique piece of Engineering has the strength to more than satisfy the specifier, the straight top flange keeps the builder happy and if that isn’t enough it has a revolutionary ‘Lock Plate’ which means that it can be transformed into a Hookover or Straddle without the need for rivets or a specialised tool. Merchants can therefore offer Hookovers and Straddles from stock.

Material Specification: 2.5mm Pre Galvanised Steel S280GD+Z275

Installation:
The back plate of the hanger should lie flat against the vertical masonry support.
Masonry flange should have a minimum of 3 courses (675mm masonry) above.
Both supporting and above masonry should be allowed to mature before any load is applied.
Joist should be square cut and sit tight to the back of the hanger - maximum gap permitted is 6mm. Nail the side flanges with 30 x 3.75mm galvanised square twist nails or equivalent.
To provide lateral restraint HD Straps should be used.
